The Liberalist & Conservative Perspectives of the Household Revolution in Pakistan

This paper aims to investigate whether the technological progress that had directly impacted the household sector played a significant role in liberating women with regard to their participation in homemaker labour. Furthermore, the primary rationale of this research paper is to examine the liberalist and conservative ideologies attached to this movement. It has been argued with the assumption that over the last century, household capital has had tremendous investment-specific technological advancement. (Greenwood, Sheshadri, & Yorukoglu, 2002). The introduction of these new and improved products has made households require relatively less labour. As the prices of these durables go down, more consumers tend to invest in them, which have also helped the economies of the countries when seen with a zoomed-out view.
